H&P organised a multidisciplinary panel to discuss marriage, civil partnerships and gay rights, as part of King's Arts & Humanities Festival 2014. The panel featured Sheffield University historian Dr Julia Moses, King’s College London law professor, Robert Wintemute, and Glasgow University social scientist Dr Kelly Kollman. Dr Lucy Delap, Director of H&P, chaired the 22 October event, which was attended by 40 people.
