The House of Lords Select Committee on the Constitution has published written evidence submitted by Dr. Andrew Blick, Director of H&P.

Dr. Blick, of the Institute of Contemporary British History, KIng's College London, made his submission as a contribution to the committee's inquiry into devolution and the future of the union. In it he provides an historical perspective on a range of challenges surrounding the territorial governance of the United Kingdom.

Dr. Blick said: 'The way in which the different nations and regions of the UK are governed, and their relationship to the whole, are pressing contemporary issues. History can provide us with an outlook on them that is at present lacking, and I am delighted to have this opportunity to engage.'
