OU OpenTALKS - Reimagining democracy: lessons from the French Revolution

15 May 2019 - 16:30 pm - 17:30 pm

Online

The Open University is running a series of short online public lectures in 2019 focussed on the ways that our view of the past and the present interact. Previous lectures, and livestreams, are available on the OU Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences YouTube channel.

Dr Anna Plassart's talk will explain how, for many people looking on, France’s descent into violence illustrated the dangers of democratic and populist politics.
